Man-eater Family
Plant Type
Habitat: Forests
Disposition: Ferocious, clingy
Diet: The semen of human men, nutrients in the soil.
Plant type monsters feared as man-eating plants that lie in ambush to seize their prey in forests. Man-eaters share a common ecology in that they have specialized "leaves" for seizing and restraining their human male prey so that may continue to feed on essence in near perpetuity, but they can be classified into several varieties depending the shape of their "leaves". The "Saccophytes" are distinguished by their massive, wonderfully elastic sacciform leaves which can fit the entirety of their humanoid portion along with their male prey.
Like other man-eaters, their bodies secrete "digestive fluids" which aid in predation, and when lying in wait for prey, they disperse a vaporized form of these fluids into their surroundings. Prey who breathe it in will become unable to think straight as if their brains had turned into mush so that they won't have second thoughts or even be able to sense the oddity of the spectacle of a beauty in the forest sitting on a bizarre sac-like plant smiling and enticing them, although they normally would. And then, after that, the saccophyte would only have to wait with open arms, and the prey would dive into them as tempted, and wind up going into their sac. Upon taking in prey in this manner, their sacciform leaves will immediately begin to expand, completely enveloping the entire body of the prey along with their own humanoid portion with their limbs wrapped firmly around him arresting his movement. This chain of events is how this variety seizes and restrains their prey.
The interior of the sac cannot be observed from outside; however, their bodies are smooshed together within the confines of the narrow sac meaning that even the slightest movement results in skin on skin friction, and they'd be in a state where their lower halves are constantly joined together. What's more, the sac is full of digestive fluids. In other words, the captured man's lower half would constantly be soaked in it. Once his body is immersed, he wouldn't be able to muster strength or resist the pleasure, and it would be near impossible for the prey to escape the sac on his own. He'd be helpless to do anything but continue to soak in the pleasure provided by the one he is joined with. She could spur ejaculation with just a slight movement, and of course, since he wouldn't have the strength to resist, he'd have to repeatedly ejaculate and continue periodically pouring in semen.
Furthermore, since they seem passive when capturing prey, and are tenderly affectionate afterward, people tend to think that they have a docile disposition compared to the claustrophyte variety and others, but that's a huge misconception. If a man-eater without a husband has her eyes on a man, whether she's bewitching or friendly, the only thing she sees is prey to trap inside her leaves for life and continually feast on, in other words, a husband to be. The saccophytes are generally considered to mostly have gentle looking faces, and the looks they give men are filled with loving kindness, but even those are no exception.
Also, by their very nature, all man-eaters derive a strong sense of fulfillment from continuing to keep their husbands trapped inside their leaves, so this variety is also strongly obsessed with having their husbands within their sacs. Although from the stirring of the sac one can conclude that inside of it, they must be gently shaking their hips together and relishing the pleasure, the reason they can indulge in gentle lovemaking is that they're satisfied from having their husband in their sac, and it's not at all that they are of a gentle disposition. Their true nature becomes readily apparent if their husband is absent from their sac even just briefly. For example, this would be true even in the situation where the husband had convinced his wife to give him permission to leave the sac temporarily and even though they are in a marital relationship in which running away or being run away from would be unthinkable.
From the moment they become unable to bear their husband's absence from their sac, in their eyes, their husband will only look like prey that must be caught, and they'll revert to"man-eating plants" who will lure in, seize, and devour their prey just like the first time. All man=eaters are monsters whose predatory behavior is fundamentally governed by their lust and appetite. Even if this predation seems soft and gentle from start to finish,it's basically impossible for them to have any such thing as a docile nature.

Man-eaters in general:
While the effect is weaker than with alraune nectar, the scent and sensation of inhaling the vaporized digestive fluids of a man-eater still have a luring aspect. The man will feel pleasure from it, and likely follow the scent rather than just wander randomly in a daze. (source: Personal communication with Kenkou Cross).
Man-eaters are quite happy to simply carry their husband around in their trap if he wants to go somewhere. (source: Personal communication with Kenkou Cross).
Man-eaters are very dexterous and very strong with their vines. They can climb to high places with ease as well as crawl about with them. (source: Personal communication with Kenkou Cross).
That said, they can also easily walk around on their humanoid legs. Should their plant trap portion be in the way, they can use a simple version of the anthropomorphosis spell to temporarily erase that part of them only. (source: Personal communication with Kenkou Cross).
For every man-eater, the large plant portion (the trap) is fused with their vine hair, said hair being a fully functional organ like a limb that they have full control over. The hair is split into two large vines, each vine connected to one side of their large trap. They recline in their trap but are not physically connected to it aside from by their hair vines. (source: Personal communication with Kenkou Cross).
When it comes to their overall designs, the man-eaters focus on a spiky-looking exterior that is still not too sharp, and a interior (and humanoid form) that is exceptionally soft and comfortable to be pressed up against. Them being so voluptuous/hourglass shaped is also to accentuate this. (source: Personal communication with Kenkou Cross).
Alraunes don't like letting letting their husbands out of their flowers/separating either, but the feeling is much stronger for man-eaters. (source: Personal communication with Kenkou Cross).
In places where man-eaters grow in large numbers, one can imagine all the vaporized digestive fluids create a incredible atmosphere full of steam. (source: Personal communication with Kenkou Cross).
Man-eaters can control the firmness of their digestive fluid to an extent. It's not that they can make it hard, but they can make the film along the surface of the fluid firmer/less permeable. (source: Personal communication with Kenkou Cross).
Man-eaters generally prefer to live in forests, but there are some individuals who have adapted to living in cities. (source: Personal communication with Kenkou Cross).
While they will let their husband out if he asks, they will be compelled to put him back in as soon as possible or cling to him with their arms. So effective methods for a man eater husband to spend time outside the trap are mainly two things:
1. Master doppelganger medicine so that one clone stays inside the trap while the other moves about. Effectively the man is in two places at once, and perceives it this way, so it takes training/practice to handle it mentally.
2. Having the man eater use anthropomorphosis. She can be satisfied for a time simply walking around holding onto his hand or arm, and this is actually a common sight with man eater couples. Of course, such contact is arousing too, and too much arousal will undo the transformation, so the couple will have to take regular breaks in alleyways and rest stops to release pent up desire. (source: Personal communication with Kenkou Cross).
Husbands of man-eaters can keep their clothing and accessories intact by the use of enchantment magic to make them invulnerable to the man-eater's fluids. They can also weave clothes using fibers from the vines and leaves of the man-eater herself, as these parts are innately immune to her fluids (they will grow back so like with mandragora it is no problem to cut them a little). (source: Personal communication with Kenkou Cross).
These clothes, however, are for the husband. Man-eaters themselves prefer to expose as much bare skin as possible, and thus usually wear no clothing at all, in order to keep their bodies as close to their prey as possible. Their leaves and trap mean they have little use for extra protection from the elements. That said this does not mean they do not like to "dress up" and look good for their husband. The profile claustrophyte carefully styles her hair for this purpose, while the profile saccophyte decorates her hair and large head leaf with flowers she gets to accentuate her beauty. (source: Personal communication with Kenkou Cross).
The traps of man-eaters swell up/stretch in order to match the size of their and their husband's bodies. (source: Personal communication with Kenkou Cross).
Also applicable to incubi in general, but the reason that the husbands of man-eaters become able to be clear-minded enough to negotiate being let out of the man-eater's trap in the first place is because, when they become incubi, their ability to tolerate pleasure becomes much higher than a normal human. This is similar to how monsters can enjoy pleasures that for a human would be too much to stay conscious for. Some studious monsters even think more clearly and progress in research better when they are immersed in extreme pleasure. The adjustment is more gradual for a incubus, but the man over time becomes able to focus and discuss things to a degree despite the pleasurable effects of the man-eater's digestive fluids being just as potent, satisfying and effective on him as ever. The incubus' pleasure = mental focus effect basically becomes able to counter the man eater fluid's loss of focus effect. (source: Personal communication with Kenkou Cross).
Man-eater (Saccophyte)
Her straight hair is split into two large tresses, each tress growing out into a large vine used for locomotion. The two vines merge together below to form the pouch/bag the saccophyte is sitting in. The vines are shown hooked because the individual is hanging from a tree branch.
The structure underneath their breasts itself imitates a pitcher plant, complete with a cap leaf that opens up (the cap on the man-eater herself being the large leaf growing from the saccophyte's head like a hat) to a red, heart-shaped part that imitates the bag of a pitcher plant. From this part flows out more digestive juices than what their skin can excrete, letting them readily soak their and their lover's lower bodies in it. (source: Personal communication with Kenkou Cross).
Depending on the individual and her mood (i.e. if she wants to show off her husband and their lovemaking to others or not), the saccophyte's bag can be made see-through enough to see a silhouette, or change to completely block vision from the outside. (source: Personal communication with Kenkou Cross).
While it can't be seen in the image, the red color on the profile saccophyte's legs continues uninterrupted to the tips of her toes. (source: Personal communication with Kenkou Cross).
